Craft Project: Dolphin in a box

Way back when, I made a little dolphin frame for a porpoise-loving friend.

It wasn't much, just a small token, but my friend absolutely adored it.

That was in 2001.

Since then, my friend's dolphin has taken pride of place in every bathroom of every house she has lived in.

After all these years, it was starting to look a little weather worn and I often asked her why she kept it. She would look at me horrified and respond "because you made it for my 21st Birthday!"

Like, duh!

Last month, the string on the frame finally gave up the ghost (not bad after 13 years!) and with pleading eyes, my friend asked if there was anything I could do to salvage her treasured item.

"Leave it with me", I said.

Using a box frame stolen from a future OneandSeventy picture gallery, a little glue and a few embellishments, the salvage operation was complete.
