What is it with buying and selling homes in this country?  WHY does it take SO long?

If you're hoping for an answer I'm afraid I don't have one, except to state the obvious - someone, somewhere, must be making a mint out of it.

Heaven knows who, though, 'cos it certainly wasn't our solicitor. The utterly brilliant Paul Brewer at Apex Law worked his 'arris off during our recent sale and subsequent purchase, both of which took far longer than expected, and yet he didn't so much as score an extra penny!

When we decided to relocate to the Midlands, we thought we'd rent for a while until we found somewhere we wanted to buy. We didn't know exactly where we wanted to live, we just knew we'd fallen in love with Staffordshire.
