What with both our Birthdays AND our Wedding Anniversary, May is a big month here at OneandSeventy and to celebrate, Beloved and I like to take off for a week. It's become something of a tradition to retreat to the forest and we can usually be found hiding out in a log cabin run by Forest Holidays.

Lazy Monday afternoon - www.suzy-homemaker.co.uk

After a fortnight that saw Beloved working away for six nights, the recent four-day weekend couldn't come quickly enough.

Good Friday was passed doing bits 'n' pieces around the house. While I finished a set of curtains for the Guest Room and some Kelly Hoppen inspired cushions, Beloved indulged in two of his favourite past times – cutting the grass and DIY.

Ha! He hates them both. In equal amounts!

Poor Beloved.
